Donation Policy
The African Parent is a community-driven platform that relies on contributions to support its projects, advocacy work, and digital resources for African families.
1. Purpose of Donations
Donations help fund the creation of educational content, community events, digital parenting tools, and awareness campaigns. Funds are allocated based on need and guided by our mission to empower African parents globally.
2. Methods of Donation
Donations can be made securely via our website using PayPal, Stripe, or other approved payment platforms. Donors may choose to make a one-off contribution or set up a recurring donation.

We maintain accurate financial records and periodically publish impact summaries or updates outlining how donations are used. Donors may request general information about our financial stewardship at any time by emailing hello@theafricanparent.org.

Accountability Statement for Donations
We believe in transparency and responsibility. Every contribution made to The African Parent helps sustain community programmes, awareness campaigns, and parenting resources across Africa and the diaspora.
Funds are allocated responsibly to areas such as:
- Creating and maintaining free educational and emotional wellness content
- Supporting digital tools for families and schools
- Hosting awareness and advocacy projects for African parents and children
We regularly monitor how donations are spent and review each project to ensure the highest impact and integrity. Periodic summaries of funded projects are shared through our newsletters or annual updates.
Our guiding principle is stewardship. We are accountable to our community and treat every contribution as a trust to be honoured with care and transparency.
Return and Refund Policy
At The African Parent, we want every purchase to be a positive experience. Our products include digital downloads, webinars, and physical items such as apparel and accessories. This policy explains how refunds and returns are handled.
1. Digital Products and Downloads
All digital items, including eBooks, printables, guides, toolkits, and webinar recordings, are delivered electronically.
Because digital products cannot be returned once downloaded or accessed, all sales are considered final.
If you experience a technical issue (for example, a file not downloading or receiving the wrong file), please contact us within 7 days at support@theafricanparent.org and we will help resolve the problem or reissue the correct file.
2. Webinars and Online Events
Webinar registrations and online events are non-refundable. If you can no longer attend, you may transfer your registration to another person by emailing us at least 48 hours before the event. In exceptional circumstances, such as event cancellation or significant technical failure on our part, we will offer a full or partial refund.
3. Apparel and Physical Merchandise
When we begin selling physical items such as clothing or accessories, you will have the right to return or exchange an item within 14 days of receiving it, in line with UK consumer law. Items must be unused, unwashed, and returned in their original condition and packaging.
To start a return, email support@theafricanparent.org with your order number and reason for return. The customer is responsible for return postage unless the item was faulty or incorrect.
4. Refund Process
Refunds, where applicable, will be processed to the original payment method within 10 working days of approval.
